Bell won the very first Group C Race to be held when he drove a Porsche 956 with Jacky Ickx at the Silverstone 1000kms in 1982.

He is pictured here in front of the late-model Porsche 962 - owned by Mark Sumpter - which he drove at Silverstone in 2007.
